So, when I left school – which ironically was St Laurence too – we didn’t get a graduation ball! The whole graduation ball, is something i’m quite envious of. I think it’s a fantastic ‘steal’ from american culture. Anyway, I was lucky enough to be asked along to snap the children of St Laurence, Northfield, Birmingham in July. The night was being held at Rowheath Pavilion, Bournville and upon arrival it was clear the parents had made a real effort to make the night memorable for their children. The brief for the evening was to try and capture natural shots of the children being themselves and also capture natural portraits, for the parents and children to look back on.
